The maiden edition of IGo Eyewear Vision & Education 2015 project commenced today at about 9:00 a.m. at the Tiny and Great Crech and Nursery School in Ogbomoso, Nigeria.
The management of Tiny and Great Creche and Nursery school made this event possible with support from African Center for Innovation and Leadership Development.
The students of Tiny and Great creche and Nursery school had their eyesight tested by Dr. Adepoju who ran the tests in a most beautiful way making the students very comfortable.
Dr. Taiwo Togun, the Chief Strategist for IGoVille and a health innovation consultant with ACILD, was present at the event that was well planned out and the essence of the event which was giving back was apparent.
Over forty children were carefully tested by Dr. Adepoju with Mrs. Nnamdi, the Head Mistress, ensuring that the students were orderly throughout the period of the test which ended at about 1:25 p.m.
Shortly after the children had completed their eye check, the staff of the school were also allowed to undergo the test with about six of them completing the test which ended at about 2:05 p.m.
Parents of the children were very happy at the fact that the proprietor of the school had ensured that their wards were taken care of in partnership with IGo Eyewear and also with the support of ACILD.
At the end of the testing, Dr. Adepoju reported that over 90 percent of the children had perfect eyesight with just one having a fairly poor eyesight and a few having to be cautious so as not to have a poor eyesight in the future.
